Art After Dark - June
The lively and provocative work of beloved Charleston artist Charles “Charly” Jupiter Hamilton is back!
The Juliet Art Museum has organized a retrospective exhibition that will examine his entire artistic career–from his bold line work to his inspiration from Mexican Alebrijes.
The exhibition opening will be celebrated at Art After Dark at the Clay Center. The celebration will be held during FestivALL, one of Hamilton’s favorite events, with a performance by his friends the Carpenter Ants.
Join us at the Clay Center on June 20 from 7-9 PM to celebrate the life and legacy of Charly Jupiter Hamilton!
Art After Dark is supported by The Elliot Family Foundation, Friends of Clay Center, and Fund for the Arts.
The Clay Center’s performing and visual arts offerings are presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
