Still Life: Drawing From the Collection

MAY 10 – JUNE 8, 2025

The Juliet Art Museum invites visitors to engage directly with the art-making process while exploring rarely exhibited still life works from our permanent collection. This exhibition highlights the richness and diversity of still life as a genre, showcasing a range of artistic approaches and styles across time.

At the center of the gallery, a curated still life arrangement will serve as a working studio space, where visitors are encouraged to create their own interpretations of Still Life drawings using the materials provided. Inspired by the artworks surrounding you, the Juliet Art Museum encourages guests to indulge in the opportunity to develop and reflect on composition, form, and technique while adding their own creative flair.

Still Life: Drawing from the Collection is presented with support from the Bernard H. & Blanche E. Jacobson Foundation, Daywood Foundation, Elliot Family Foundation, Fund for the Arts, and Herscher Foundation, Inc. The Clay Center’s performing and visual arts offerings are presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
